Please Keep in Mind:

Sabino Canyon is a natural area with inherent dangers, including: Falling rocks, wild animals, extreme temperatures, sudden storms and lightning, and flash floods. Do not hike in unsafe weather conditions. Drink plenty of water to stay hydrated during your visit. Always inform someone of your plans before leaving. Temperatures regularly swing 30-degrees on any given day. Be prepared for it to be significantly hotter or colder during your journey than it is when you depart. Check local weather conditions before starting.

While enjoying the area, always have:
  • First aid kit
  • Sun protection
  • Snacks with salt or electrolytes
  • A fully charged cell phone and flashlight
  • Sturdy shoes, a jacket and a hat
  • Plenty of water, more than you think you need
